Rebar
A Reinforcing Bar or ReBar is composed of mild steel and is given surface deformations for improving adhesiveness to concrete. They are composed of steel bars or wire clusters of unfinished tempered steel, and are very strong in compression.
Rebars are embedded into adjacent structural members (40-60 times in diameter) or bent and hooked at the ends to lock it around the concrete.
ReBars are a popular construction device in reinforced concrete and masonry structures since the ridges lend to bettering mechanical anchoring, thereby making the edifice strong. Normally most re bars have concrete encasement or covering preventing them from corrosion.
The reinforcing bars composed of stainless steel have the special quality of non corrosion. The rust-free nature has created a great demand for the same. Other names for the same include: reinforcing steel, reinforcement steel, rerod, deformed bar, reo or reobar.
FISTCO supplies various Grades and Dimensions standard like EN, BS, ASTM & GOST.
